Enrollment in Developmental Courses

Enrollment in Developmental Courses

To help students achieve their educational goals, the College adheres to a policy of multiple measures which may include required placement testing and the fulfillment of developmental course(s) where applicable. All students who are degree-seeking, in a transfer track or enrolled in a certificate program requiring English or math course(s) must complete placement tests or meet alternate minimum standards. These alternate standards or multiple measures include minimum high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, GED scores, or specific high school coursework completion with minimum grades. Based on the test results or alternate standards, students placing into developmental English or math courses must begin taking these courses within the first 12 credit hours of study at the College. Some registration restrictions may occur based on test results. For more information, see the Placement Testing section located in the Student Services chapter in this catalog or contact the Placement Testing Center at (708) 656-8000, Ext. 2358.
