PHT 125 Therapeutic Modalities II

This course continues to build the student's knowledge of therapeutic modalities in preparation for clinical education. Students will study the physiological effects, principles and practical therapeutic applications of select modalities including but not limited to ultrasound, traction, and electrotherapeutic modalities. Emphasis is placed on understanding the effects, indications, and contraindications of each modality and providing competent application of the modality as part of an established plan of care. Lecture 0.5 hours per week, laboratory 1.5 hours per week.
